Boucle Bed Sizes

Our boucle beds come in all five standard UK sizes. Sizes below are the mattress size; the frame is larger, so check each product page for full dimensions.

Boucle Single Bed (3ft)

A boucle single bed measures 90 × 190 cm and fits neatly into kids' rooms and box rooms. It leaves floor space free for a desk, wardrobe or play area. Our kids' boucle beds, such as Jessie, Daphne and Melani, add rounded headboards and padded edges. Jessie also comes with optional ottoman storage.

Small Double Boucle Bed (4ft)

A small double boucle bed measures 120 × 190 cm, giving one adult far more room than a single. It suits teenagers, guest rooms and solo sleepers in smaller bedrooms. It's narrower than a standard double, so it fits rooms where a 4ft6 bed would feel cramped.

Boucle Double Bed (4ft6)

A boucle double bed measures 135 × 190 cm, the most popular size in UK homes. It gives couples a comfortable sleeping space and fits most standard bedrooms. Pair it with ottoman storage to make the most of a mid-sized room.

Boucle King Size Bed (5ft)

A boucle king size bed measures 150 × 200 cm, adding 15 cm of width and 10 cm of length over a double. Couples get more room to spread out, and taller sleepers get extra legroom. The wider frame also shows off statement and hotel-style headboards like Norfolk and Bosnia.

Super King Boucle Bed (6ft)

A super king boucle bed measures 180 × 200 cm, our largest size. It's best for large main bedrooms and couples who want plenty of personal space. Designs with extra-wide headboards, like Brussels, make a bold feature wall behind the bed.

Boucle Ottoman and Storage Beds

Most of our boucle beds come with a choice of base: a slatted base with no storage, or a gas-lift ottoman. Pick storage if you're short on wardrobe or drawer space.

Boucle Ottoman Beds

A boucle ottoman bed lifts on gas struts to reveal storage under the whole mattress. Use it for spare bedding, suitcases and out-of-season clothes.

• End-lift or side-lift. Some designs lift from the left or right side, which helps if the foot of the bed is close to a wall.
• Storage depth:.The gas-lift ottoman base gives you 28 cm of storage depth under the whole mattress, enough for duvets, pillows and folded clothes.
• Room to lift: an end-lift base raises the head of the mattress by over a metre, so keep shelves, wall lights and sloped ceilings clear above the bed.

A boucle divan bed sits on a solid base instead of a framed bed. Choose a divan ottoman base for lift-up storage, or drawers for things you use every day.

Boucle Bed Colours

Boucle looks best in soft neutrals that show off its texture. Choose the shade that suits your room and how much cleaning you want to do.

• White boucle beds feel bright and airy, especially in small rooms. They show marks more easily, so vacuum them regularly.
• Cream and ivory give the same light look but hide everyday marks better.
